Background

Mama Beatrinia Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to promote animal welfare, plant based diet, environmental conservation, economic empowerment, health and education, founded in 2020 in Kasese Uganda in the memory of Beatrinia Biira who died in 2020. Beatrinia was a cherished woman, friendly and was dearly loved by all. The most important things to Beatrinia were her family and friends and she was very loyal to those close to her. She was a kind woman and her warm personality gave her an ability to draw people to her.Beatrinia was a vegetarian, herbalist and a village birth attendant, she was dedicated to the ethics of care for both human and non-human animal lives. The foundation was created by the community as one way to memorize the death of Beatrinia Biira and her work, the foundation is women led organization.
